Stainless steel kitchens

Made of steel.
Made for life.

We asked a simple question: what would a kitchen look like if nothing in it could rot, swell, rust or feed a termite? The answer was 304 food-grade stainless steel, used for everything: carcass, shelves, shutters and all.

Why we chose steel

A material that doesn't negotiate.

Indian kitchens are hard on furniture. There's steam, spice, monsoon damp, hot tawas and the odd overflowing sink. Engineered wood slowly loses that fight. Steel never starts it. Here's what that means day to day.

Durability

Built to outlast the house warming.

Longevity isn't an upgrade we sell you. It comes with the material. 304 steel shrugs off rust, corrosion and daily knocks, and it wears in rather than wearing out. In twenty years it will still be standing straight.

Hygiene

Clean right down to the surface.

Steel has no pores, so moisture, grease and bacteria have nowhere to soak in. It's the same reason hospital and restaurant kitchens are built from it.

Low upkeep

Beautiful with one wipe.

No polishing, no re-lacquering, no laminate edges lifting. A damp cloth after cooking is the whole maintenance plan.

Acoustics

Steel, without the clang.

The usual worry with metal furniture is the noise. Every Aureate shutter is lined with damping pads and closes on soft-close hardware, so you hear a soft thud, not a tin drum. Try it.

Sustainability

Good for the planet, twice.

Steel can be recycled endlessly with no loss in quality, and a kitchen that lasts decades means far fewer refits sent to landfill. No trees go into it and no formaldehyde-based glues either.

Inside 304

The steel that heals itself.

304 is an austenitic stainless steel, about 18% chromium and 8% nickel. The chromium reacts with air to form an invisible oxide film just a few atoms thick. Scratch it and the film re-forms within moments. That's why it doesn't rust, stain or flake.

The stress test

Everything your kitchen will face.

Pick a hazard and see how a typical engineered-wood cabinet copes next to an Aureate steel one. These are the conditions your kitchen will see every year.

Finishes

Steel that doesn't look industrial.

Underneath it's pure steel. On the outside it can be brushed, mirrored, PVD-coloured, textured or powder-coated in almost any RAL shade, so it suits a warm, lived-in home as well as it suits a chef's line.

Behind the doors

Steel inside, organised to the inch.

The interiors are steel too: baskets, racks, inserts and pull-outs designed around how Indian kitchens really work. Pick a fitting to see where it lives.

Care guide

Thirty seconds of care.

That's honestly all it takes. Here's the full routine, and the few things to avoid.

  1. 01

    Wipe

Use a soft microfibre cloth with warm water and a drop of mild dish soap.

  2. 02

    Follow the grain

Wipe along the brush lines, not across them, for an even, streak-free finish.

  3. 03

    Dry

Finish with a dry cloth so hard-water spots never get a chance to settle.

Please avoid

  • Steel wool and abrasive scrubbers
  • Bleach or chlorine-based cleaners
  • Scouring powders
  • Leaving salty or acidic spills overnight

FAQ

Good questions, straight answers.

Can't find yours? Ask a designer and we'll reply within a working day.

Is the whole kitchen really stainless steel?

Yes. Carcasses, shelves, drawers, back panels and shutters are all fabricated from 304 food-grade stainless steel. There's no particle board, MDF or plywood hidden behind the doors.

How long does a project take?

Usually 6 to 8 weeks from the moment you approve the final design to the day we hand over a ready kitchen. Your designer will share a dated plan at sign-off.

Won't a steel kitchen feel cold or clinical?

Not with the right finish. Champagne and gunmetal PVD, textured sheets and powder-coated colours give a warm, residential look, and we pair them with stone worktops, wood accents and warm lighting.

Isn't metal furniture noisy?

Bare sheet metal is. Ours isn't. Each shutter is lined with damping pads and runs on soft-close hinges and channels, so drawers close with a quiet thud. Hear the difference.

How do I clean and look after it?

Wipe with a soft cloth and mild soapy water, then dry. Skip steel wool, bleach and harsh scourers. See the care guide for the full 30-second routine.

What warranty do you offer?

Our stainless steel structures carry a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects, and fittings are covered by their makers' warranties. Your designer will walk you through exactly what's covered.

What happens after installation?

You get a dedicated after-care contact for adjustments, hardware servicing and repairs. Reach us and we'll schedule a visit.

Can I customise the layout and look?

Completely. Layout, dimensions, internal fittings, finishes and handles are all designed around your space and how you cook. We also build stainless steel wardrobes and vanities.
